St George Hospital Campus Accommodation
St George Hospital & Community Health Services established Bezzina House in 1998 to proivde accommodation for cancer patients and their families. Bezzina house is a low cost, home-away-from-home accommodation located on the St George Hospital campus.
Bezzina House
Bezzina House Cancer Care Lodge is a purpose built lodge available to patients and their families and is conveniently located less than 100 metres from the St George Hospital main entrance.
It has 15 self-contained units, some with wheelchair access located in three wings, two on the ground floor and one on the upper level. The facility is designed around a sunny courtyard and garden area with a barbecue area on the 2nd floor.
Bezzina House was built through the generous support of the Community, following a public appeal by The St. George Hospital & Community Health Service. The project was completed in June 1998 and opened by the Governor and appropriately named Bezzina House by the committee.
Bookings
Bookings should be made in advance, once a confirmed booking for treatment is made. Bookings are available between 8.30am— 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday. To make your booking:

Responsibilities
Guests are responsible for making their own beds and keeping the units neat, clean and tidy during their stay. Please note smoking is not permitted in the units or the grounds of Bezzina House.

Rates
$60.00 per room per night. No key deposit is required, however a charge of $25.00 will be levied for lost keys.
Check-in times and reception
Rooms are available from 2pm the day of check-in.
All guests arriving after 2pm should collect their key from Patient Enquiries at the reception of The St. George Hospital main entrance (Gray Street entrance). The Co-ordinator is available from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm (Monday to Friday) to attend any administrative duties.
Checkout time
Please check out by 10.30am on the morning of your departure.
Booking preference is given to cancer patients and their carer, but other guests may be accommodated if there are rooms available. Should the need arise, cancer care guests will be given priority and other guests may be required to vacate their rooms at short notice.
Meals
The staff cafeteria & hospital coffee shop are available for your use. Both are located on the ground floor of the St. George Hospital, adjacent to the Cancer Care Centre. Meals are available between 7am and 6pm 7 days a week. The Coffee Shop is closed on weekends.
Telephones
Each room has a telephone which will receive incoming calls only. Bezzina House is connected to the hospital switchboard system via internal telephone service. Just dial 9 for any emergency service.
Shopping & Public Transport
Kogarah Town Centre is a 5 minute walk from Bezzina House and will meet most shopping needs. Kogarah Railway Station is located within the Kogarah Town Centre.
Security
Bezzina House is patrolled by Hospital Security. To help maintain a secure environment, please keep the main doors locked and use your room key for access during your stay. There is no provision for storing valuables at Bezzina House and no responsibility will be taken by the management of The St. George Hospital and Community Health Services for loss of possessions.

Please note
The Lodge is located on a busy main road opposite the hospital and close to emergency service bases and the medical retrieval helipad. Management has no control over noise levels in the area.
